Need help modding a mod.

I just DLed the Unleashed mod and while it looks intersting, I'd perfer to have a version (for my own personal use) without the replaced default ships. It has been a long time since I've done anything with this game (I haven't played since 93) and want to know what files I'd have to change or remove. Thanks...

BTW, is there anywhere I could see a "modding edge of chaos for dummies" page or something of the like? Thanks.

The Graphic SDK and the Sim and Subsim Creation documents are pretty easy to understand, and will go a long way toward getting you started. They can be found in the downloads area of this site. I also have a rough draft the first chapter of a book I'm working on which is, basically, exactly what you are asking for. It covers beginning modding from the earliest steps. I could send it to you if you want.
