just so you know (if anyone actually does find this topic interesting) one of the things i found can be a problem with the mod files is that they will only partially download.
to help prevent EoC from hanging if you drop a damamged zip into the mods folder, make sure you check it first to make sure you can browse thru the archive. i use 7zip and double click on the zip to see if it opens. if it wont then another zip window will open or you get an error saying it could not open as an archive. in other words you never get to see whats in it.
that means it wont work in the mod or it will make it hang so bad you cant even ctrl-alt-del out of it. so make sure you check the contents of the zip before dropping any of the mods into the mod folder. your computer will thank you for it lol!
