A mod I'd really like to see...

Sure, dont know if I will be able to complete it without finding Lightwave 5.6 though.

The idea is a ship based on a stripped down Heavy Corvette chassis, with brand new engine system and thrusters for optimal manoeuvrability and almost as good acceleration as the patcom, less armour but almost all the weapons mounts and internal space as the Heavy Corvette. Down sides is it has less armour and more weight, it is a compromise.

Doesn't look great in-game without texturing or lighting, but its a start. Plays quite well though, got a 20K score in Instant Action with it (though it was 3am at the time).

Planning on doing new ships that would fit in with the quite original Iwar ships, though I wouldn't mind trying sci-fi conversions too.

I can't remember where I mentioned it but I do remember talking about a fighter design called Hammerhead from the Sci-Fi series Space And Beyond or was that Space 2060, might have been both.

That was an awsome ship, the Hammerhead. (which was from space above and beyond...)

It had a turret on the back-top of the fighter and a very powerful medium turret in front, with a large complenent of missle launchers.

What I would like to see would be a gauss-like cannon that would fire tons of bullets in a matter of seconds, like the one on the A-10 Warthog.
