Hello all,I am just getting back into i-war. I found most of the mods
I used to run. However I remember a script or something that allowed
you to set your Dock-on turret behavior.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of it?
Or am I nuts and getting this confused with another game? ;)

Never heared of such a mod, but maybe there is one.

To change turret behaviour by default: 7 = hold fire, 8 = shoot my target, 9 = fire at will, 0 is dock/undock

Tarcoon, those are the turret fighters commands. ;)

You could probably change the dock_on_turret to only fire at objects that you select as a target in your contact list, by changing the "turret_mode" in the ini from 0 to 1.

I've never tried it though, because I don't see much point in it, since you can fire at targetted objects yourself anyhow, and an additional PBC would have the same effect. Also, I don't think the DOT would work properly in self defense mode if you made that change.

The only way to insure the stock DOT doesn't fire at enemys when you don't want it to, is simply: don't mount it on your ship.

You probably could write a script and add a keybind to change the DOT properties "on the fly" if you want too.

MajorTom, Yeah I'm pretty sure that there used to be one. But for the life of me I can't find it.

Is there a tutorial around for writing scripts?

I like having the DOT, since I never use the REM fighter. It lets me focus my attack on the target, and keeps everyone else off my back until I ready to deal with them.

Guess the commands change their behaviour:D

Javelin, I don't understand what you want your DOT's to do.
They shall clear your six during combat?
They' ll do it with 9 = "fire at will".

They shall hold fire? Use 7 = "Hold fire".
They don't engage untill you tell them.#

This getting confusing::D

There is a "Dock on auto turret" in the game ( in German "portables Geschuetzturm"). Thats what I've been talking about.

There is also a T-Fighter (in German the Kannonen-Jäger)
That appears to be what Tarcoon is talking about.

Now all we have to do is figure out is what Javalin is talking about.;)
